Hatters boss Kevin Blackwell was left to rue a lack of cutting edge in attack after watching his side lose 3-1 to Brighton.

Manager Kevin Blackwell, with the likes of Paul Furlong, Sam Parkin, Drew Talbot and Paul Peschisolido all missing through injury, felt he was left with little option but to play Calvin Andrew as a lone striker.

He said: "I've got Calvin trying to do a job manfully but he is just not ready yet.

"His record for scoring is not good and I know that. I've got to sit down and do something and speak to the Chairman."

Blackwell felt the first goal altered the complexion of the game, saying: "The goal was a sloppy goal three minutes before half-time. Players switched off and it was a free header - but what can you do?

"We've had the lion's share but we came with nothing."
