DAY OFF CANCELLED BY BOSS
Kevin Blackwell was left fuming after a 'less than impressive' performance against Huddersfield Town.
And as consequence, Blackwell is calling all of his players in for training on Sunday morning.
The Hatters, who had Paul Furlong sent off, went down after goals by Danny Cadamarteri and Luke Beckett settled a comfortable 2-0 win for the home side.
This latest result means the Hatters have suffered four straight away League defeats on the trot.
Blackwell's message was simple: "We got what we deserved - nothing. We are getting a reputation of playing good football, but the players have got to work out that they have to earn the right to do that and they didn't do that today.
"I said to the players before the game that Andy Ritchie (Huddersfield manager) would pick a side that would scrap for everything and that is exactly what they did.
"We had players who were off song today so I will see them first thing in the morning because if they can't be doing it on a Saturday then they can come in and do it on Sunday instead."
And Blackwell refused to use any excuses for this latest defeat, such as a hangover after playing extra time in the Carling Cup win over Charlton on Tuesday.
The Hatters boss continued: "I am not prepared to use the fact we played 120 minutes in the Carling Cup as an excuse.
"We have looked after the players between that game and now and it was ironic that we played better when we went down to ten men.
"I have said to the lads, why are they building mountains for themselves that they have to climb up when they should have been bang at it.
"Huddersfield deserved all the plaudits today and we will be back on Sunday trying to put things right."
