The Hatters can confirm that Tom Craddock has joined League 2 Oxford United for an undisclosed fee.
Craddock, 23, leaves Kenilworth Road after netting 38 goals in 86 games in all competitions for the Town and chose to join Chris Wilder's U's in order to fulfil his ambition at playing at a higher level.
The Darlington-born striker started his career with Middlesbrough before being sent on-loan to Wrexham and Hartlepool.
But it was a loan spell with the Hatters, that began in October 2008, that ignited his career.
He notched two goals on his debut in a 2-2 draw at Grimsby and, after two further goals and a string of fine displays, he was purchased permanently from the Riverside for £80,000 in January 2009.
Sadly his goals were not enough to keep the Town in the Football League but Craddock achieved every schoolboy's dream when scoring in a Wembley cup final when grabbing the Hatters' second goal in the 3-2 Johnstone's Paint Trophy final win over Scunthorpe.
In his and the Town's first campaign in the Blue Square Premier the forward was in scintillating form, hitting 24 goals and notched his first senior hat-trick in the 6-3 win over Histon last April.
He was named in the Conference's Select XI for 2009/10 and, prior to his departure to the Kassam Stadium, had scored twice in Town colours this season.
Everyone at Luton Town would like to thank Tom for all his hard work, especially that in the local community, during his time with the club and wish him all the success in the rest of his career.
