Goals from Claude Gnakpa, Dan Walker and Adam Watkins gave a strong Town side a comfortable victory over Arlesey Town in the Bedfordshire Premier Cup final.

The Hatters included seven faces with first team experience last season in the game at the Armadillo Stadium.

With Walker and Gnakpa forming a front two, it took them until the 36th minute to take the lead when the Frenchman smashed home a fierce shot after the ball rebounded to him in the penalty area.

Then came two goals in quick succession as the Town took control before the break.

On 43 minutes Walker finished well after racing onto Gnakpa's flick-on to double the Hatters'o lead before Watkins rounded the goalkeeper after taking Stefan Bailey's pass to make it 3-0 a minute later.

There was no further goal action until 13 minutes from time when the hosts reduced the deficit but the Town held onto secure the Development Squad's second win of pre-season and in doing so lift the Bedfordshire Premier Cup.
