The Hatters' ended their pre-season programme with a well-earned victory at Blue Square South Woking.
Kevin Gallen put the Town ahead on the stroke of half-time, finishing well from six yards following Andy Drury's excellent right-wing cross.
It got better for the Hatters 16 minutes into the second half when Adam Murray knocked home from the edge of the area after Danny Crow forced Cards goalkeeper into evasive action.
The Hatters dominated in a composed display and twice hit the bar - Matthew Barnes-Homer with a shot in the first half and Crow rattled the same woodwork in the second half with a header following a lovely cross from Drury.
Woking pulled a goal back on 66 minutes when substitute Toby Little curled home a low free-kick in off both posts but in the end a professional and assured performances saw the Hatters over the finishing line.

FULL-TIME
WOKING 1-2 LUTON TOWN - It's all over here and all over for pre-season and the Hatters' have ran out 2-1 victors. Stay tuned for all the reaction.
90 mins - We're inside the final minute here at Kingfield and the Hatters have the ball...
87 mins - Chance for Woking though but it's comfortable again for Tyler as centre-back McNerney hits a tame shot from just outside the box.
87 mins - Three minutes to play and the Town have re-established their hold on the game now, playing some nice, confident possession football.
84 mins - The Hatters hit the woodwork for the second time as a peach of a right-wing cross from Drury is header onto the crossbar by Crow, rising between two Woking defenders with Pidgeley beaten all ends up. Unlucky. Super play from the Town.
81 mins - Certainly is end-to-end as Craddock thumps a shot inches wide of the Pidgeley's right-hand post.
80 mins - End-to-end now as Sogbanmu scuffs a shot straight at Tyler when left unmarked six yards out after being found by Little. The small crowd can't believe he's missed.
79 mins - Back come the Hatters as they come within a whisker of making it 3-1 as a super ball from the left from Drury eludes everyone including Craddock ghosting in at the backpost.
78 mins - Great chance for Woking to equalise goes begging as Gilroy beats the offside trap and only needs to square for Maledon but the Cards sub fluffs his lines and Tyler is able to stick out a leg to prevent it being two-a-piece.
74 mins - Half a sniff for Craddock in his first piece of action as he plays a one-two with Crow and sees a shot rebound off the back of a Woking defender.
72 mins - It's 10 on for 9 as Craddock replaces MBH for the Hatters.
70 mins - Plenty of Woking pressure now and Freddie Murray has to do well to turn away a dangerous cross from the left that almost found the dangerous Maledon again six yards out. That was close. Good defending from the left-back. And it needed to be.
66 mins
GOAL! WOKING 1-2 Hatters - Woking are back in it all of a sudden as substitute Little curls a lovely free-kick around the Town wall, bounces off one post and goes in off the other beyond Tyler and the deficit is halved. 2-1 now.
61 mins
GOAL! Woking 0-2 HATTERS - The Town are now well in command now as Adam Murray makes it 2-0. MBH and Howells combine down the left and the ball eventually drops for Crow inside the 18 yard box. He drives a left-foot shot goalwards that is palmed away well by Pidgeley but the falls kindly to an unmarked Murray 12 yards out who makes no mistake.
58 mins - Still the Hatters dominate as they pen Woking back. Tyler's had a pretty comfortable afternoon so far.
54 mins - Chance for the Hatters as MBH picks out Crow beautifully with a cross-field pass. The striker drives at goal before shooting that takes a deflection of a Woking defender that almost invitingly falls for Howells but Pidgeley is quick to smother the loose ball.
52 mins - Not much action to speak of but Pidgeley, the Woking goalkeeper - formely of Chelsea - dribbles past three Town men outside of his penalty area, delighting the home fans. I wonder if he'd do that in a league game!
49 mins - The Hatters are lining-up as follows at the start of this second half: Tyler in goal, a back four of Gleeson, Kroca, G. Pilks, F. Murray; a midfield four of Drury, A. Murray, Keane and Howells with MBH and Crow up top.
48 mins - Bright sunshine now covers the Kingfield pitch. All elements here this afternoon.
47 mins - Early chance this half for Woking as Kroca does well to block a shot from Maledon, who's been a threat all afternoon for the Cards. The attendance here at Kingfield is 618 of which includes 96 shouting for the Town.
46 mins
Changes at the break for the Town with Jake Howells, Danny Crow, Adam Murra and Freddie Murray on for Blackett, Gallen, Besta and Gnakpa.
HALF-TIME
WOKING 0-1 LUTON TOWN - It's been an encouraging first half from the Town so far. More to come in the second 45. Check back for more updates in 15 minutes.
45 mins
GOAL! Woking 0-1 HATTERS - Well it had be coming and the Hatters deservedly lead. Gnakpa does well to spray a pass out to Drury down the right flank who takes one touch before whipping a lovely cross into the six yard box that Gallen snaffles, takes a touch before poking it past Pidgeley. Nice play, nice goal. 1-0.
45 mins - Nice passing down the right from Drury and Gleeson sees the former send in a dangerous cross that surprises the home defence but they eventually clear.
42 mins - Three minutes to the break and the Town are still in control but they will no doubt want to go in at the interval ahead. Still goalless here though.
37 mins - The referee gives Gallen a ticking off for his frustration. It stemmed from an offside decision from the linesman about a minute earlier that saw the striker flagged when at least five yards onside! Miffed faces in the Town dugout.
35 mins - Back come Woking as Maledon fires a shot from 20 yards straight down Tyler's throat. Easy pickings for the Hatters' stopper.
32 mins - And another as Claude tries his luck from 25 yards that Pidgeley is equal to, diving down to his left. All the Town now, can they make it count?
31 mins - Oh it worked! Three chances in the space of 30 seconds for the Town. Firstly a Kroca shot was blocked that fell to MBH who sent a shot thundering against the crossbar. Then, Pidgeley does really well to deny MBH from six yards following Gallen's flick-on. Really unlucky but it should be 1-0.
30 mins - Dearth of clear-cut chances here at the minute...half hoping that jinxes something into happening...
26 mins - Crunching tackle by Quarm on Besta midway in the Hatters' half but he looks hard as nails, he makes no fuss and is back to his feet.
25 mins - Powerful header from Gnakpa, now on the left of course, as he dives to meet a free-kick from Keane but it's easy for Pidgeley as he sees it wide.
24 mins - Showing the great versatility in the starting XI, Gnakpa and Drury have swapped flanks.
23 mins - Fancy footwork from the Hatters almost makes it 1-0 as Drury and MBH combine that results in a shot from Barnes-Homer that is blocked behind by Maledon. A good move showing great invention and a decent block from the Cards' number 4.
20 mins - Flurry of action in the Town penalty area momentarily and they have a brave block from Besta to prevent a goalbound shot from Quarm testing Tyler.
18 mins - Almost another chance for the Hatters as Drury finds Gallen but his cross aimed for MBH is whacked away by McNerney. Almost...
15 mins - We're a quarter-of-an-hour in but neither goalkeeper has had a shot to save but the Hatters are enjoying the better of the play so far. Besta looking good alongside Keane in midfield.
14 mins - All the Hatters now as Gnakpa this time finds Drury, switching the play who in turns sends a low cross into the Woking six-yard box that almost sees both Kroca and Gallen connect. Still goalless though but encouraging from the Town.
12 mins - More decent stuff from the Town as they look for the breakthrough as Keane pings a lovely pass to an unmarked Gnakpa standing on the right-side of the penatly area but the Frenchman's cross is deflected into the arms of Pidgeley.
10 mins - Half a sniff for Gallen but he can't connect properly with a header following Drury's cross from the left. It will be interesting to see how Drury and Gnakpa fair on the left and right flanks this afternoon.
7 mins - Absolutely bucketing it down here as quick thinking from Tyler boots away a clearance after a lovely slide-rule pass with the outside of his boot by the Cards' number 10 Darren Henessey.
6 mins - Good work defensive work from Kroca, sliding to thwart Thomas, the Woking left-back, getting to the byline. He timed that perfectly. Nice challenge from the Czech.
3 mins - Been pretty even so far but we're still in the early stages but it's beginning to rain quite heavily as substitutes Jake Howells and Ed Asafu-Adjaye zip-up their tracksuits to try and shelter from the wet.
2 mins - The Hatters are lining-up as follows: Tyler in goal a back four of Gleeson, Kroca, Pilkington and Blackett, a midfield of Gnakpa on the right, Drury on the left with Keane and Besta in the middle. Barnes-Homer and Gallen lead the line.
