87 mins
HATTERS 4-1 Newcastle XI - The icing on the cake as Alnwick's clearance falls straight to the feet of Newton who, seeing the keeper well off his line, floated a delicious chip arching back over the Magpies' number one to make it four. Super, super strike.
86 mins - Chance for four as Claude somehow heads a left-wing corner from Newton the wrong side of the post from close range.
83 mins - The Magpies have upped the ante slightly in this second half and they fancy getting another goal. Midfielder Donaldson goes close to making it 3-2 with a stunning half-volley that whistles narrowly over the crossbar. Unlucky. A real great hit.
79 mins - Poku has impressed this pre-season with some tenacious and eye-catching performances in the centre of midfield and he goes on a rampaging run, bundling past two defenders before flashing a shot well over the crossbar.
76 mins - Another two changes for the Hatters as indeed, Ed comes on - for Gleeson - together with Poku, for Besta.
75 mins - More changes are in the offing and it looks like Ed Asafu-Adjaye is one them, despite not being mentioned on the team-sheet.
73 mins - Claude's been quiet since his introduction but this is his first action of pre-season. He plays in Crow with a nice touch but two visiting defenders converge on the striker and the chance his snuffed out.
70 mins
GOAL Hatters 3-1 NEWCASTLE XI - Those few Magpies fans have something to shout about as Nile Ranger pulls a goal back for the visitors, racing forward and rounding Kevin Pilkington and calmly slotting the ball home into an empty net.
68 mins - A few more inside Kenilworth Road tonight, 2,036 are cheering on the Town tonight with 20 or so in the Oak Road end.
66 mins - Kroca has been quiet but effective again at the back, as has Pilks. Following Newton's left-wing corner the centre-half comes close to scoring for the second game in a row but his hooked shot flies narrowly over the crossbar.
64 mins - Sorry, we've been away a nasty laptop issue...but we're back and can deliver good news of third Town goal. It's Craddock the creator and Crow the finisher after the former raced through, rounded the goalkeeper before squaring for his striker partner to fire high into the net past Alnwick. A really good goal.
63 mins - Double change for the Town as Drury and Howells make way for Gnakpa and Newton.

GOAL! HATTERS 3-0 Newcastle XI - Crow
55 mins - Another great chance for 3-0 goes begging as Alnwick does brilliant to get a hand to Howells' shot after he'd marauded through unchallenged, one on one with the goalkeeper, latching onto Drury's smart through ball. Unlucky - again.
50 mins - Craddock's emphatic hit apart it's been a quiet start to this second half. The Hatters will no doubt be looking for a third consecutive clean sheet too. Remember we're live online with Hatters Player commentary from Simon Pitts and, later, we'll have highlights available on Player, too, so stayed tuned.
47 mins - Great chance for 3-0 as Craddock twists and turns brilliantly past a Newcastle defender before blasting a shot goalwards that cannons back off the crossbar. Unlucky. A super effort. Oh, and there's another change. In goal. Kevin Pilkington has replaced Tyler.
46 mins
It's the Town who get us under way for the second period with Danny Crow, Shane Blackett, Tom Craddock and Adam Murray on for MBH, Keane, Fred Murray and Gallen.
HALF-TIME
LUTON TOWN 2-0 NEWCASTLE UNITED XI - And that's the break. A very comfortable 45 minutes for the Hatters here at Kenilworth Road and Money's men are on target for a third straight home victory this pre-season. It's been impressive stuff. Let's hope there's more to come. Check back in 15 minutes for more updates.
45 mins
GOAL! HATTERS 2-0 Newcastle - It's too easy. Or should that be two easy...MBH get his second goal of the night, whacking home from six yards after Howells had beat his marker, the Newcastle right back, with such easy to cut the ball back on a plate for the Town number 9. Get in.
40 mins - MBH is a man on a mission as he is denied not once, not twice but three times by the Newcastle defence in the space of about 10 seconds! Two shots are blocked while the third goes wide after Howells had seen his wicked low cross from the left elude everyone that was eventually retrieved by Drury. Barnes-Homer is everywhere. As is Howells.
38 mins - Another minute goes by, another chance for the Town as Gallen sees a deft header grasped by Alnwick following a superb outswinging cross from Fred Murray after more good play from Howells.
35 mins - More good, no - very good - play from the Hatters once more in the space of 30 seconds and it should be 2-0. Firstly a Gallen cross hits an static MBH, no knowing the ball was coming before Howells saw a shot deflected over the top by a finger of Alnwick after seizing onto a superb low pass from Besta. The crowd are loving this at the minute.
33 mins - Newcastle haven't offered much of a threat but that's maybe because the Town are doing so well. MBH and Howells are the men of the moment. Those two combine to good effect down the left again, both pulling off a trick each that fools the visitors' defenders, but one pass too many results in an offside flag being raised and move breaks down. Unlucky.
27 mins
GOAL! HATTERS 1-0 Newcastle XI - He's been in great form this pre-season and Barnes-Homer has added to his tally this summer by hitting a shot past Alnwick from eight yards. Gallen fed Howells down the left who in turn sent a cross the six yard box for MBH. It was a bad first touch from the striker but he got a second chance, and, reacting quickest, was able to stroke the ball home. Get in!
25 mins - First attempt from the visitors and it's not a great. After a winning a free-kick on the edge of the Town 18 yard box, Ryan Donaldson proceeds to whack the ball into block E of the Kenilworth Road end (upper tier).
24 mins - Howells has been impressive again down the left flank and is getting plenty of joy out of attacking the Magpies' right-back. He beats his man brilliantly and stands up a teasing cross by Alnwick is underneath it and makes a good, clean catch.
23 mins - For the record this Newcastle side beat Gateshead, opponents of the Town in the forthcoming season, 3-0 at the International Stadium last week.
20 mins - Still the Town attack and it should be 1-0. Keane wins the ball well and feeds MBH who then lofts a nice pass into the path of the on-running Keane who sees a hooked right-foot shot blocked by a combination of two Newcastle defenders. The ball then drops free to Barnes-Homer who blasts a shot way wide. Unlucky. Great play. Can they make their dominance count?
15 mins - Then, more good play from the Hatters. A beautiful flowing move and confident first-time touches from Howells and Murray see the latter see a cross aimed for MBH blocked. Really bright, inventive stuff from Money's men at the minute.
14 mins - Still all the Town but no more chances of note. However, Newcastle are being managed by none other than former Magpies legend and England international Peter Beardsley. He's in the dugout, leaning against it, taking in the nice football being played around his team...
8 mins - More good play from the Hatters as Drury tries a pot-shot from 25 yards that Alnwick catches comfortably. It's all good stuff from the hosts at the minute. Very impressive. Drury and Keane in particular.
7 mins - It's the Town who have started the brighter of the teams and Gallen, who hasn't featured since coming on as a sub against Alfreton, is clearly out to impress. Determined play from the veteran striker wriggle past the attention of two Newcastle defenders before shooting straight at Jak Alnwick in the visitor's goal.
5 mins - Ok, so it's Tyler in goal, a back four of Gleeson, G. Pilks, Kroca and F. Murray and midfield quartet of Drury, Keane, Besta and Howells.
3 mins - It's Barnes-Homer and Gallen up front for the Town tonight, we'll run down the full line-up in a minute, but the Town have a great chance to make it 1-0 as Drury and Gleeson combine down the left which sees the former cross for MBH who heads an effort in the ground that bounces wide.
1 min - Well, 20 seconds to be exact, as trialist Besta comes off best in a robust challenge against the Magpies' Bradden Inman. It earns him a round of applause. For the record Besta and Kroca aren't wearing squad numbers tonight.
