The Hatters' pre-season preparation has been going well with the first team winning five of their seven friendlies so far.

And with the season upon us the Town have arranged another pre-season fixture with a trip to Southern League Premier division outfit Brackley Town this Thursday, 5th August (kick-off 7.30pm).

Narrowly missing out on promotion in the Play-Offs last season, the ambitious Saints are one of the favourites for promotion this time round and secured the signing of ex-Hatter Steve Basham during the summer.

Although the Hatters play a Newcastle United XI at Kenilworth Road on the Wednesday, a number of first team players, together with those from the Development Squad will travel to St. James Park - St. James Park, Brackley, that is - the following day.
