Posted on: Tue 03 Aug 2010

A goal from Czech trialist Zdnek Krorcha gave the Hatters their second successive pre-season victory over Scottish Premier League Kilmarnock.

FULL-TIME whistleLUTON TOWN 1-0 KILMARNOCK - It's all over here at Kenilworth Road and it's another friendly victory for the Hatters. Highlights, post-match reaction and photographs to come. Stay tuned...

87 mins - Us boys in the press box have awarded goalscorer Krorcha with the man-of-the-match.

86 mins Substitute...and it's Dan Walker on for Craddock. And the sub is nearly straight into the action as he latches onto a poor back-pass from the Killie right-back but, after beating Bell to the ball, he runs out of pitch and the ball goes out of play. Unlucky.

85 mins - Five minutes left and Kilmarnock have upped the ante slightly but it remains to be seen if Pilkington will be forced into any meaningful action. Meanwhile, activity on the Town bench...

77 mins - Back come Killie as Kevin Pilkington needs to be alert to turn Dayton's free-kick over the crossbar to prevent it creeping home. From the resulting corner Manuel Pascali sends an acrobatic overhead kick sailing high and wide of the target.

75 mins Substitute Double change for the Hatters and it's two youth products on in the shape of Adam Watkins and Newman Carney. Blackett and Gleeson take a breather on the bench.

74 mins - The move of the match so far tonight and it's almost 2-0 to the Town. Murray feeds Gallen who's lovely little touch releases Gleeson. The right-back then sees the run of Gallen who takes the ball in his stride before poking a right-foot shot inches wide of the post from the right-hand edge of the six yard box. Unlucky.

69 mins SubstituteThird change of the night for the Town as Godfrey Poku replaces Keane.

69 mins - Tonight's attendance here at Kenilworth Road is 1,428.

67 mins - Great chance for one a piece. Killie break down the left flank with their left-sided trialist beating Gleeson and Newton to cross to an off-balanced Bryson who can only turn a left-foot shot over the crossbar when well played eight yards from goal.

60 mins GOAL! GOAL! HATTERS 1-0 Kilmarnock - After an hour of little or no action to speak of the Town have the lead against the SPL side. The goal comes about after Adam Murray and Howells had combined well to force a chance to win a corner. From Murray's flag-kick it's the Czech trialist Krocha that gets up above the rest at the near post to head beyond Bell. A goal at last...get in!

57 mins - Another opportunity but another one off target as Hamil connects well with a right-foot shot that whistles just past KP's right-hand post.

53 mins - The Hatters have started this half on top but Killie have half a chance to sneak ahead when Bryson's cross from the left takes a nick off a visiting trialist that trickles through the legs of Krorcha but it's no problem for Kevin Pilkington who dives down on the loose ball.

48 mins - At long last a shot of note to talk about as Craddock takes a pass from Howells, drives forward and hits a right-foot shot that goes just wide of Bell's right-hand post.

46 mins whistleWe're back as Killie get us underway for the second half and there are two changes for the Town. Barnes-Homer and Crow have made way for Gallen and Howells. Howells on the left side of midfield, as usual, with Gallen alongside Craddock in attack.

HALF-TIME whistle Plenty of Town pressure and effort as we approach the break but at half-time it's goalless. Check back for more updates in 15 minutes.

40 mins - No change in the score but one thing has remained constant through this first half: Keith Keane has been very, very good in the middle of the Town midfield. Running the show, tackling back, putting his foot in and spraying the ball around well. A class act.

35 mins - Half a sniff for Killie as Craig Bryson sends in a dangerous cross from the left into the Town six yard box that Krorcha almost diverts into his own net but Kevin Pilkington gets down smartly to prevent the visitors from taking the lead.

30 mins - No internet gremlins this time, it's just there hasn't been much to report. The Hatters, however, are dominating possession. Now can they force Cameron Bell in the Killie goal into a save?

23 mins - Sorry we've been away. Internet connection gremlins our end. The Hatters have slowly began to assert themselves on this game but there's been very little action for either goalkeeper so far. The passing from the Town has been sharp and on 16 minutes they almost got in behind the Killie defence when Gleeson's cross from the right, aimed for Crow, was cleared at the last minute by Clancy. Oh, it's still 0-0.

9 mins - By the way, the Town are lining up as follows: K. Pilks in goal, a back four of (left-to-right) Blackett, G. Pilks, Krorcha, Gleeson, a midfield four of Barnes-Homer, A. Murray, Keane and Newton with Crow and Craddock up top.

8 mins - The first chance of the game so far as Killie's number 8 Jamie Hamil attempts a daisycutter of a free-kick that driftes harmlessly wide of KP's right-hand post.

3 mins - Very low key stuff here at the minute. The kit looks nice though. Not seen it? Click here for to have a look.

1 min whistleIt's the Town that get us off and under way at a drizzly Kenilworth Road. There's a 30 Kilmarnock fans making themselves in the Oak Road end. Fair play tot them.
