With the start of the Blue Square Bet Premier season almost a fortnight away, the Hatters have completed their sixth signing of the summer with the arrival of Dan Walker from Bedford Town following a successful trial period.

The 20-year-old, who originally impressed Richard Money when playing against the Town in a pre-season friendly for the Eagles on 17th July, has penned a one-year contract.

Capable of playing as a winger or as a central striker, the youngster has previously played for Leighton Town and Stony Stratford Town.

Walker, who featured in the Hatters' friendlies against Marlow and as a substitute against Liverpool, has been assigned squad number 29 for the coming season.
