The Hatters can confirm defender Janos Kovacs has signed for League Two outfit Hereford United.

Kovacs arrived at Kenilworth Road in January from Lincoln City and scored on his debut in the 2-0 victory over Histon on 27th January.

The Hungarian centre-half featured 17 times in Town colours - in which the Hatters won 11 - before agreeing terms at Edgar Street this morning.

Manager Richard Money told lutontown.co.uk: "Janos made it clear to us that if a chance arose to play football in the Football League then he would like to take it.

"Obviously Hereford can offer him such an opportunity and I would like to thank him for his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the best with his new club."
