ENTER THE HATTERS CUP!
The Hatters' community department are looking for clubs to enter our famous Hatters Cup competition that will be held at Kenilworth Road this summer.
The tournament will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May and will consists of a six-a-side tournament with squads of up to 10 players per squad for Under-7s and Under-14s to compete for the Hatters Cup - sponsored this year by our media partners DiverseFM.
As well as the tournament, there will be many activities such as an EA sports hub, where you can try out all the latest video game releases from EA, The British Army are bringing their climbing wall and also measure yourself against David Beckham, Alan Shearer and Roberto Carlos for the crown of the most powerful shot with our Speed Gun.
Also Penalty Kings will be testing your nerve; skill and technique in a penalty shoot out to find The Hatters Cup Penalty King!
Also all trophies will be presented by members of Luton Town first team squad and coaching staff. The Under 8s, Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s will play on Saturday 8th May and the Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s will play on Sunday 9th May.
In compliance with FA Regulations, teams entering age groups Under 11 and below can include boys and girls in their squads if they wish. The Under 7 tournament will be non-competitive with all players receiving medals for their participation. From the Under 8 to Under 14, it is competitive and only the winners' and runners' up will receive a medal.
Last year was a great success with teams competing from all over the country and it would be great to see your teams there this year. Priority invitations have already ready gone out to LTFC's Partnership Clubs, and places are filling up! Entry fees are £60 for one team and £50 for two or more. Included in the entry fee is a weekend programme including information on The Hatters Cup, fixtures, information on the other teams and space to keep track of all of the scores. Each team will be given ten players and two staff/manager free passes to enter the stadium; also two free car parking spaces will be included. As car parking is very limited, spaces are available on a first come first served basis.
