TYLER & HATCH GO TO GATESHEAD

Posted on: Thu 21 Jan 2010

Mark Tyler and Liam Hatch travel to Gateshead for the Hatters' Saturday's Blue Square Premier match but there's no place for injured Kevins Gallen and Nicholls.

With the game against Ian Bogie's Tynesiders almost certain to go ahead - barring any freak weather conditions! - it will be the Hatters' first game in three weeks since the FA Cup defeat to Southampton on 2nd January.

And manager Richard Money revealed that Tyler and Hatch will travel with the squad to the north east in their first steps to recovering from long-term injuries.

Nicholls and Gallen meanwhile are struggling with slight injuries and won't be risked with the re-arranged game with Histon on Wednesday their target.

Money explained that all first team players were given a 90-minute run out this week in two games - a behind closed doors game with Queens Park Rangers and yesterday's reserve game against Peterborough - in a bid to give the squad some match practise following the cold snap.
