GET WITH THE PROGRAMME

Posted on: Fri 23 Oct 2009

"When I heard the draw I was pleased we had been given a home tie. Away fixtures at this stage of the FA Cup are notoriously tricky to overcome and to play in front of our own supporters against a team from the same division is a bonus.

"Although the league is our main priority, a good cup run always breeds confidence and you never know a couple of wins in this competition and we're in with the Premier League teams.

"That said Grays will be coming here looking for an upset and they can relax without the pressures of the league football.

"Julian Dicks has got them playing some good football but as I keep telling the players it is not what the opposition do that we need to worry about, it's what we do on the day that counts," writes Hatters caretaker manager Alan Neilson in his programme notes for the FA Cup clash with Grays Athletic.

As well as hearing from Neilson, captain Kevin Nicholls gives his thoughts from the dressing room while director Stephen Browne talks from the top on a busy fortnight for board.

Saturdya's issue of Talk of the Town for the visit of York is packed with exclusive features together with all your usual favourites.

We've got a feature on Kevin Nicholls and Andy Burgess' FA Cup memories as well as catching-up with defender George Beavan who is currently on-loan with Grays.

Our popular head to head quiz between two Hatters players is included and this week we're into round two of the competition. It's Nico v Burgess and the questions are getting tougher!

Long-standing favourites from Roger Wash and Simon "Statto" Pitts are, as ever, in their rightful place, while we look back on the win over Altrincham and Tuesday's draw with York in our match action section.

The 68-page issue is available at every home game from all the normal locations, inside and outside Kenilworth Road at the usual price of £3.

All of the content should give you a good read but if you'd like anything included or have any comments or questions feel free to get in touch with us by clicking here.
