92 mins - A chance for the Town in second additional minute of time added on as Burgess, who has impressed all night, drives a shot into the side netting with an angled shot from the left-hand edge of the penalty area.

90 mins - The fourth official indicated they'll be an additional three minutes of added time.

88 mins sub The seventh change of the evening for the Hatters as Keane is replaced by Adam Watkins. The action certainly has subsided over the last 10 minutes or so.

87 mins - Burgess tries his luck with an ambitious effort from fully 45 yards that sails wide of Zieler's left-hand post. It would have been a majestic equaliser but it's not to be for Hatters number 11 this time.

81 mins - Gnakpa is in the action immediately but can't adjust his body when attempting to latch onto Burgess' clever pass.

80 mins - sub A change for the Hatters as Mick Harford replaces Newton with Claude Gnakpa.

76 mins - There's been a lull in proceedings but the game is brought back to life when Howells drives a fierce shot that is saved by Zieler. From the rebound Gallen sees an effort deflected behind for a corner. Burgess swings in the flag-kick from the right which sees a Zieler forced into a reactionary save with his knee before White sees a fierce drive go wide.

71 mins - The biggest cheer of the night so far is reserved for White's barge on referee Miller who is sent to his knees on the Kenilworth Road turf. You can imagine the delight the fans took from that one...

68 mins - Great chance for United, great save by Tyler. A quick one-two between Eikrem and Sam Hewson sees the latter take one touch past White before sending a low shot goalwards that's blocked superbly by the Town keeper diving down sharply to his left. More all round good football.

63 mins - sub Double change for the Hatters. Nico's off for Kevin Gallen and Jake Howells is on for Hatch. Keane takes over the armband.

60 mins - The attendance has just been handed to me. A very healthy 7,480. Including 761 in the Oak Road end cheering on the young Red Devils.

54 mins - Referee Miller refuses the visitors what looks a pretty decent penalty claim. Norweigan midfielder Magnus Eikrem tumbles in the box under Alan White's hefty challenge but to the bemusent to everyone inside Kenilworth Road the man-in-the-middle waves away the United appeals.

53 mins - Another shot from United off-target and this time its Gray who shoots wide of Tyler's left-hand post.

52 mins - Impressive in the first period, Cleverley is after his second of the night. This time he meets Gray's low free-kick from the right first time but the ball sails harmlessly over the bar.

50 mins - The first opportunity of the half falls to the Hatters. Hatch does well in bravely winning the ball to find Newton who zooms past Oliver Gill before firing a shot at goal that looks as though will go well over the bar. It does go over the bar, but it dips at the last minute nearly leaving Zieler red-faced.

47 mins - Reynolds has gone right-back and White's at centre-half which has meant Keith Keane is now in the centre of the Town midfield.

46 mins sub Two changes from Mick at the break. Callum Reynolds and Alan White are on for Ian Roper and Asa Hall. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has made one too. GoalscorerBrandy is off - Cameron Stewart's on.

HALF TIME whistleReferee Miller signals the end of the first half action at Kenilworth Road where the Town find themselves 2-1 down. United raced in a two-goal lead inside the first nine minutes before Asa Hall reduced arrears on the quarter-hour mark with a close range tap it. The visitors have showed some exceptional touches and deserved a two-goal advantage but the Hatters have improved and an exicting second period is in store.

45 mins - More great play from United this time. Ritchie De Laet runs down the left and cuts the ball back for Gray who sees his shot deflected behind for a corner.

44 mins - Another terrific pass from Burgess sends Craddock scampering down the left. He again gets the better of Simpson but the young Red Devil uses his pace to get across Craddock's shot and the ball delfects behind for a corner. From the resulting corner, Hall drives a shot goalward from the edge of the penalty area but the Town goalscorer sees his shot well-blocked by his opposite number James Chester.

39 mins - Cleverley tries his luck from distance with a shot that is comfortable for Tyler.

37 mins - More great play from the Town as a fine cross-field pass from Burgess finds Hatch who powers a header goalwards that dips just over the bar. It's 2-1 United.

34 mins - Super move from the Hatters and it should have two-each. Hatch runs at the United defence, finds Nicholls who in turns plays a perfect first time pass to Craddock. The Town striker zips past Danny Simpson and fires a shot goalwards but unfortunately for the hosts, Craddock can only shoot straight at Zieler.

29 mins - Further evidence of the burgeoning partnership between Hatch and Craddock as a flick-on from the former sets-up up the latter but Craddock's first time shot is comfortable for Zieler.

25 mins - Brandy's found his range again but this time the United striker is denied by a fantastic reflex save at close range by Tyler when meeting Gray's right-wing cross. All round good football. United coming back into it.

24 mins - Nicholls is certainly up for this one - this is his last appearance at Kenilworth Road until Chester City visit on 22nd September. A typically robust challenge by the skipper on David Gray earning him a ticking off from referee Miller.

23 mins - I take that all back about the visitors. Brandy, the scorer of the opener, then obliges to send a stray pass straight into the arms of Tyler much to the bemusement of his team-mates.

21 mins - While the Hatters resplendant in their new orange, it's United who are impressing the most on the pitch. Cleverley, in particular has shown a real touch of class and looks one for the future most definitely.

17 mins - Nearly two-a-piece. Another vicious inswinging free-kick from Nicholls is met by the toe of a United defender and the deflection loops agonisingly over the bar.

15 mins - GOAL! GOAL! HATTERS 1-2 Manchester United XI - There's no doubt the Hatters have upped it since going two-down and their effort is rewarded with a goal. Zieler intially palms Tom Craddock's near post header away from Kevin Nicholls' corner. The ball is half-cleared by United and the ball finds Andy Burgess on the right-hand edge of the penalty area. Burgess drills a shot goalwards and there's - who else - but Hall, to toe home from close range. Game on!

11 mins - Chance for Hatters. And that was close. It's the first real opportunity for Town. George Pilkington swings in a cross from the right which is met by an unmarked Asa Hall who gets a head to the ball, but the Town midfielder - known for his late runs in the box - sees his effort fly narrowly over Ron-Robert Zieler's crossbar. Unlucky.

9 mins - GOAL! GOAL! Hatters 0-2 MANCHESTER UNITED XI - It's not going the Town's way tonight. Goalscorer Brandy holds the ball up in the penalty area only to go down under pressure from George Pilkington and referee Miller awards the visitors a spot-kick. Up steps Brandy's strike-partner Tom Cleverley who strokes the ball past Tyler into the bottom left hand corner.

4 mins - It's been all the visitors so far who have comfortably settled into proceedings. Moments later Magnus Eikrem fires a shot over Tyler's crossbar from 20 yards.

1 mins - GOAL! GOAL! Hatters 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED XI - Not the start the Town had in mind. An slick move from the United youngsters sees seven passes strung together with the final one sending striker Febian Brandy away down the left who slots the ball cooly past Tyler from six yards.

1 min - It's the Hatters who get us underway us underway.
