REVEALED: THE NEW SPONSORS

Posted on: Tue 28 Jul 2009

To mark an exciting new era for Luton Town Football Club we are delighted to have the pleasure of revealing our new club and shirt sponsors for the coming season at this evening's prestigious friendly with a Manchester United XI.

The game with the Red Devils is the perfect platform to launch the new partnerships with two very respected and well-known organisations.

easyJet, the UK's largest airline, have agreed a two-year deal to become the Hatters' club sponsor in which the company's name will be proudly emblazoned on the front of the new home and away strips.

This exciting relationship will not only benefit both parties but also enable Town fans to take advantage of exclusive offers and incentives throughout the year, details of which will be released in due course.

easyJet need little introduction, however, with the airline launching its base in the Town 14 years ago there is a distinct local relationship between the business and the Football Club which both companies are keen to embrace - especially at this juncture in the club's life.

Hatters' managing director, Gary Sweet, is thrilled with the prospect of the link-up with a company of easyJet's stature and excited with what the sponsorship can bring to both the airline and the club.

He said: "I think it goes without saying that we are absolutely enthralled to welcome easyJet to Luton Town Football as our club and shirt sponsors..

"Although they are recognised nationally and indeed internationally, we are proud to have secured a relationship with a company whose links, at heart, lie locally.

"easyJet and Luton Town both have their traditions in Luton and to have finally agreed a partnership of this kind is great for the town and is enormously beneficial to both parties.

"It is a sponsorship deal like no other in the history of this football club and it gives me great pleasure to welcome them on board for what is an exciting time in the club's history.

"Today's launch of the new sponsor, new crest and new home and away shirts marks a new era at Luton Town and to have the an internationally recognised organisation adorning the famous shirts of this club will go down as a landmark occasion.

"To strike a deal with easyJet not only shows the direction the football club are going but also the positive perception this club has made on many companies in the past 12 months.

And if it couldn't get any better, the Hatters have also secured another local and nationally-renowned company for sponsorship next season.

The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting - better known to many as NICEIC - have agreed a one-year deal to have their logos on the back of the Town's shirt and shorts next season.

Based in Houghton Regis, the company are the electrical contracting industry's independent voluntary body for electrical installation matters throughout the UK.

They offer industry-leading certification services, Building Regulations Schemes, products and support to electrical contractors and many other trades within the construction industry.

NICEIC hope that the sponsorship deal with Hatters will increase exposure for their contractors and their links into the local community.

On the NICEIC deal, Gary Sweet added: "To have not one but two reputable, successful, local and national companies logos on our shirts next season just goes to show the amount of interest the football club is generating despite our position.

"It truly is exciting times for Luton Town Football Club."

Chief Operating Officer of NICEIC Emma McCarthy said: "Football is at the heart of British life and it is exciting to be involved in the sport.

"Luton Town is a fantastic club with strong links in the local and surrounding communities and we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to provide support.

"We are looking forward to cheering the team along as the new season commences."
