42 - There have been just three occasions where the Hatters have finished a League season on 42 points.

The first time this happened was in 1955/56, with 17 victories and eight draws. Eight years later and it was 16 wins and 10 draws in 1963/64. It was three points for a win in 1991/92 when Luton finished the season with 42 points.

42 - Luton have played in a 42 match League season 54 times. The last time the Hatters had 21 opponents was in the 1991/92 season when the Hatters were relegated from the top flight. The Hatters won 10 games, all at home, drew 12 and lost 20 matches.

42 - Willie Davie made exactly 42 League appearances for Luton in the two seasons 1950/51 and 51/52.

Davie netted nine goals in those appearances, including one on his home debut in a 1-1 draw against Blackburn on 23rd December 1950.

John Collins also made exactly 42 League appearances for Luton, and scored 10 goals during his time at Kenilworth Road. He won promotion with the Hatters in 1969/70, but made just two appearances the following season in Division Two.

Garry Parker came through the ranks at Kenilworth Road during the 1980's and scored just three goals in his 42 appearances.

Asa Hall missed just four league games last season and netted 10 league goals, his first coming on just his fourth league start against Aldershot in a 3-1 home win in September 2008.

42 - Four post-war players have made a total of 42 appearances for Luton. Jim Wilson was the first, after making his debut towards the end of the 1947/48 season after joining from Peterborough Wilson went on to make 39 league appearance, 27 of which came during the 1948/49 season. Wilson played his last match on 20th January 1951 in a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United before continuing his career at Northampton Town.

Jim Standen joined from Arsenal and made his debut between the sticks for the Hatters in a 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe on 29th October 1960. His last appearance was a 3-3 draw at home to Portsmouth on 6th October 1962, before a transfer to West Ham United.

Andy King netted nine league goals in his two spells at Luton. He progressed through the ranks before moving on to Everton after 36 appearances, all except one coming during the 1975/76 season. King returned to Kenilworth Road, from Wolves, and made just six appearances in the 1984/85 season, before moving onto Aldershot.

Ian Allinson made 32 league appearances, and added 10 Cup appearances during his spell at Kenilworth Road in the late 1980's.

42 - No player has scored exactly 42 League goals for Luton, nor has a player scored exactly 42 career goals for the Hatters!
