Recent history

For the Deva Stadium faithful the 2008/09 season was one to forget. If it wasn't for the Hatters' points deduction, City would have ended the campaign rock bottom of League 2.

Off-the-field problems beset Mark Wright's side throughout last season's struggle with the manager having to sell his best assets and rely on the club's youth set-up to field an 11.

Wright guided City to the Conference title in 2004 but further turmoil was to follow at the Conference's AGM when it was revealed that the Blues would start the season with a 10 point deduction at the beginning of the campaign.

The situation was too much for Wright to bear and he announced his resignation from the Deva Stadium hot-seat on Monday plunging the club further into disarray.

FACT: The Hatters earned their 30th point of the season at the Deva Stadium in January to move them onto zero points for the first time.
