HARFORD ON WHITE ARRIVAL
Hatters' manager Mick Harford made his fourth signing of the summer on Monday following the arrival of Alan White.
The centre half returns to Kenilworth Road after making 93 appearances for the Town between 1997 and 2000 before leaving to join Colchester United.
With Liam Hatch, Adam Newton and Andy Burgess all new faces in the Hatters' dressing room next season, Harford believes the defender will make a massive impact on the club next season.
He told lutontown.co.uk: "Alan White's contribution at Darlington was massive. He has been a rock for them at the heart of their defence.
"He had a great game against us up at their place and I believe he will play a big part in what we're trying to achieve here."
Harford said White's arrival will add further cover to the Town's defence following Michael Spillane's return to Norwich City.
"His arrival will give added competition and strength in-depth to our squad which is what we lacked last season," he said.
"He's been and played here before so he knows the club well and I'm delighted that we've been able to sign him."
With four signings all ready in the bag, the Town boss hinted at the arrival of more signings in the near future.
He said: "I'm looking to further strengthen the squad and will look to do so over the next two or three weeks."
Coming soon: We talk to Alan ahead of next season's challenge.
