Good afternoon and welcome to our last home match of the season for this afternoon's League 2 game with Rochdale.
Welcome to Keith Hill, his players, directors, staff and fans from our visitors who are aiming for promotion into League 1,
As we do with all our opponents we have watched Rochdale recently so we know what to expect and we know we know we will be in for a tough game. That said we are determined to finish the season on a high and on a winning note
It was an entertaining game when we played at Spotland earlier in the season and I hope today's match can be just as exciting.
This season has been one of highs and lows: The high in winning a major trophy at Wembley and the low of relegation from the Football League.
Unfortunately we were unable to overcome the burden of points deductions put on us but the effort and commitment of the players was there for all to see.
It means that this great club will now be playing Conference football next season which while is a huge disappointment we now face the massive challenge of restoring our place in the Football League.
Once this season is over comes the challenge of building a new team and I am sure there will be some comings and goings over the summer as we look to rebuild a squad capable of bouncing back at the first attempt.
Despite the difficulties we have faced this season your support has continued to amaze me. You really are the best supporters in the country.
Myself, my staff and the players would like to thank each and every one of you for your tremendous support at home, away and at Wembley.
You have got to behind the team and given them support through good times and bad and I thank you for that.
Now starts a new era for Luton Town Football Club. The shackles are off are we are able to start a fresh with the challenge that awaits next season.
As I mentioned in my programme notes for the Wycombe game, conversations with the players have taken place as we look to continue to grow this group of players into a team to face next season.
Our additional targets for next year have already been identified and the process of bringing new players to the squad has started.
It is up to me to install the confidence in the players to give them the best chance of making a swift return to the Football League.
I hope you have a great summer and look forward to seeing you when the season starts in August.
Keep the faith.
Mick.
