Despite the Hatters FA Cup exit at the hands of League 1 Southend United on Saturday Harford remains upbeat about Luton's destiny and has called for focus from his young side in the build-up to a busy Christmas period.

Luton have the welcome distraction of a Johnstone's Paint Trophy area semi-final against Colchester United to come in the middle of the run of imminent League games but the Hatters boss will be doing all he can to help the players prepare for a testing December.

He explained: "The next five matches are going to be very important to the history of Luton Town.

"Of course I would still like to be in the FA Cup but we must face the challenge that is infront of us.

"We will try and win as many games as we can and amass as many points as possible from those matches, starting on Tuesday because Bournemouth is a massive, massive game for us.

"I think everyoe understands that and what I've got to do for Tuesday and Saturday is to get everyone in a relaxed frame of mind and not worry about the hype."
