ONE DAY TO GO!!!
The long awaited new kit has now arrived at the Club, after a delay in manufacture.
Both home and away kits for the first team were delivered today after being handmade by supplier Carbrini. Stock for retail purchase is currently in production and is expected to arrive in the club shop in the next 6-8 weeks.
The new colours have been the cause of much debate, with a poll of fans proving a dead heat. LTFC2020 Ltd, new custodians of Luton Town, will be unveiling the new kit on the official website over the next couple of days.
Gary Sweet, md of LTFC2020, said "It was annoying that the kit didn't arrive on time but in the grand scheme of things it was a minor concern. We have to recognise that when we entered the club, no decisions on kit had been made so we were effectively five months behind - starting from scratch. To end up with a kit that's only couple of weeks after the start of the season shows just how hard the staff at both the Club and the supplier have worked."
Kevin Nicholls, club captain said, "I said before that I didn't care what we played in. However, it has been an honour for all the lads to play in the Legends '88 kit, and now we get a new kit for our new start. I like it. It feels good and looks good. Both the home and away are unmistakably Luton Town and that's important. We have everything now and the season has started pretty well, but we are totally focussed on winning every game we play."
The club will announce the sale of both home and away kits as soon as they come into stock.
Carbrini Sportswear are the new sponsor, and they make a range of fashionable youth clothing, available in JD Sports.
