Due to delivery issues with our new shirt manufactures the squad will not be playing in the new kit, instead it has been agreed that we will play in last season kit until later in the month.

"In the grand scheme of things this is annoying but not catastrophic," said a disappointed Gary Sweet.

"New kits are normally ordered in the previous autumn, but when we came into the club in April nothing had been done. The manufacturer has pulled out all the stops to hit the beginning of the season, even going as far to make the players kit by hand, but it hasn't come off and the delivery will be late.

We're doing all we can to get the kit in as soon as possible and we apologise to all supporters for the delay."

Club captain Kevin Nicholls said, "We really don't care. How we look is immaterial to the fact that we need wins. Fans should forget about the kit and just concentrate on getting behind the lads, giving them all the encouragement to win. Creating the best atmosphere not only lifts us, but it also lets the opposition know just what they are up against."
