Luton Town youth found themselves 4-2 down at the final whistle despite being 2-1 up at half-time.

The Hatters controlled the first half, scoring two goals before the Saints pulled one back.

However, St Neots overpowered the young squad after the break, scoring a further two goals to take the lead and then adding another after a penalty.

Luton Town started brightly, maintaining possession and it was no surprise when they took the lead on the 6th minute after Scott Sinclair powered the ball home.

The Hatters added the second in the 23rd minute when Aidan Quinn tapped the ball in past keeper Ben Webster.

The Saints took theirs just before the whistle thanks to a free-kick by Declan Rodgers.

The home side came out from the break a different team, determined to improve on their goal and just seconds in they had the perfect opportunity.

Pete Okechukwu used the bounce of the ball to lure substitute goalkeeper James Gilbert off his line, before knocking it into an empty net.

St Neots took the lead on the 58th minute when Rodgers fired a shot past the outstretched arms of Gilbert.

Saints confirmed their victory when a penalty was awarded after a foul on James Hall.

Although Gilbert blocked the initial shot, he was unable to save the rebound.
