FOOTBALL LEAGUE MEETING UPDATE
LTFC2020 met with the Football League on Wednesday to progress discussions regarding the transfer of the Golden Share to LTFC2020. Some areas of the media were expecting a 'result' yesterday, when this has never been suggested or hinted by us or the Football League.
After a lengthy meeting at the Football League office in Preston, good progress has been made and many issues have been resolved to both parties satisfaction. However, there is still some work to do and further financial demands. The items that are outstanding are clearly identified so work will be continuing to bring matters to a resolution.
Remembering that Luton Town is now in its third administration, it is understandable that the Football League realise that this really is 'last chance saloon' for our club. Therefore they are considering our application for the Golden Share in more rigorous detail than ever before, which we fully support for all club takeovers. Our continued immediate focus is to ensure that we reach the right conclusion: getting out of administration, properly funded, with the support of the Football League and, most importantly, with a long-term future - a future of which was in doubt just 8 months ago.
LTFC2020 request that all fans remain patient as this process continues. Meetings are ongoing and further updates will be released as soon as practically possible. Meanwhile you can be assured of our absolute attention in getting this matter resolved. Thank you for your understanding.
