Luton goalkeeper Dean Brill is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Leyton Orient, as new boss Mick Harford prepares to get his managerial career at Kenilworth Road underway.

Brill has been suffering from a thigh injury and despite carrying the knock in the last two games, the goalkeeper was forced to miss training on Thursday.

Harford will decide on the fitness of Luton's number one goalkeeper, but the boss did reveal that Marlon Beresford has resumed training after an injection in a shoulder injury.

Commenting on Brill's injury, Harford said: "We'll have a look at him in the morning. He's that type of lad who'll want to get out there and perform."

"Marlon Beresford is back training. He had an injection on Tuesday so if need be, he's a very adequate replacement."

"Marlon has been a great servant for this Club. If it comes down to Marlon playing then he will play and he will go out there with a lot of faith from me."

Chris Perry is the only other doubt ahead of the game at Brisbane Road, but Harford admitted that the centre-half is 'on the verge of a return'.

Harford acknowledges that he will have his work cut out to keep Luton in League One but is looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.

Harford continued: "There's not a lot to change, we'll have a look at what Leyton Orient have got to offer us, see what their strength and weaknesses are and pick our team accordingly."

"We'll set the team out tomorrow and hopefully get organised. I believe there's enough in the club to keep us up."

"I am really looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead. This football club's part of my life and I enjoy being involved at the club."
