TRIO EARN INTERNATIONAL CALL-UP
Three Luton players have been called up by their country for international duty.
Steve Robinson has been recalled to the Northern Ireland squad for their must win European Championship Qualifying game against Sweden on Wednesday October 17.
Robinson had rarely featured under previous boss Lawrie Sanchez, but his form for the Hatters has convinced current manager Nigel Worthington to pick him for the trip to Solna.
The Hatters midfielder has been at his best this season, and hit his first goal in 18 months with a breathtaking strike in the 3-1 win over Charlton in the Carling Cup.
Meanwhile, Dave Edwards has also been selected for the Wales Under-21 squad for their European Qualifying match against Malta at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.
The game, which will also be played on Wednesday October 17, will give the Welsh side a chance to bounce back to winning ways after narrowly losing to France in their first game of the campaign.
Edwards' form this season recently convinced senior boss John Toshack to call-up the former Shrewsbury man to the senior squad and was an unused substitute for Wales' win in Slovakia.
Finally, as reported on this website earlier in the week, Hatters defender Keith Keane has been selected by the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their friendly against Sweden on Friday October 12.
