Kevin Blackwell believes that night football at Kenilworth Road is having an effect on his players.
The Hatters boss was speaking after Kenilworth Road witnessed another magical night of cup football after coming from a goal behind to record a 3-1 Carling Cup win over Charlton.
A wonder strike from Steve Robinson had cancelled out a Dean Sinclair opener for Charlton to take the game into extra-time.
And Luton completed another fine victory thanks to Matthew Spring's header and a coolly taken goal from Drew Talbot.
Blackwell said: "The players deserved all the plaudits. It was a fantastic performance under the lights at Kenilworth Road and it certainly seems to inspire the players.
"I don't think it's fortuitous that we have beaten two teams from leagues above us. I'm sure people would have looked at the teams tonight and wondered which one was at the higher level.
"People that have been watching us of late have been saying that we have been playing good football and the icing on the cake today has been that we have scored the goals.
"People may have thought after we went a goal down so early on that the bubble has burst. But the players knuckled down, we dominated the game in the second half and I felt we deserved the win in the end.
"I think tonight showed the importance of the whole squad. The lads that came off the bench - Ahmet Brkovic, Drew Talbot and Darren Currie - carried the game forward."
But Blackwell is not getting carried away about the draw for the Fourth Round of the competition, which will take place on Saturday on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday programme, at approximately 12:15pm.
"I know it's what every manager says, but we are taking every game as it comes. Whoever we pull out, we pull out of the hat. But what this competition is doing is helping us to build some momentum which we now need to take through in to our League campaign."
