Despite numerous attempts the Hatters failed to come away with the three points they so desperately needed.

Luton started the better of the two sides but once again their second-half performance let them down.

However, the Hatters have Brill to thank for keeping the score level after some expert goal keeping and a strong defence held Millwall back despite them having over ten chances in the second-half alone.

Luton Town made two changes to their starting line-up ahead of this afternoon's game against Millwall.

Don Hutchison made his first start in two month replacing Chris Perry while Stephen O'Leary returns for Sol Davis.

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett made only one change from the side that drew 1-1 against Oldham with Lewis Grabban coming in for Ahmet Brkovic.

The home side got their first real chance on the 7th minute, when Jay Simpson's accurate cross found Jem Karacan in the area. However, the shot was disappointing and Dean Brill made a comfortable save.

The Hatters kept up the pressure and a Millwall mistake almost saw them go ahead when, in the tenth minute defender Zoumana Bakayogo miss kicked the ball inside the area, giving Sam Parkin the opportunity to guide the ball to the waiting Ryan Charles who turned to shoot only to see his effort trickle just wide of the post.

Minutes later and Millwall got their second chance when Ryan Smith saw his shot skim the face of the goal.

Luton looked to have broken through the Millwall defence when, on 23 minutes, a Lewis Emanuel cross gave Hutchison the opportunity to shot the ball home from ten yards.

Brill made an impressive save when a free-kick caused chaos in the area. Bas Savage took the final shot which Brill cleared off the line before the referee called for offside.

The second-half started in a similar fashion with the Hatters beginning brightly and going straight on the attack.

Despite Luton dominating proceeding's the Lions had the first chance of the second-half when a well placed corner by Ryan Smith saw a diving header from captain Paul Robinson which went wide of the near post.

A mistake from Brill almost cost the Hatters dearly when, in the 62nd minute, Jay Simpson found space down the right-hand side. Having passed the defence Simpson only had Brill left to get round. The Luton keeper came out in a desperate attempt to save the ball and despite dropping it the first time round he caught it on the second putting an end to the Millwall attack.

The home side continued to press and had another opportunity on 75 minutes. After an impressive run from ex-Luton player Ahmet Brkovic, the midfielder crossed the ball to the waiting Savage who shot the ball straight at Brill.

Three minutes later the home side were at it again. This time it was Brkovic who saw his shot rebound out of the crossbar. Simpson took the second attempt only to see the ball fly over the goal.

Millwall should have done better when a low cross from Senda saw Brill push the ball into the path of Savage who once again managed to shoot the ball over from four yards.
