FROM BOTH CAMPS:

Richard Money: "We think this is a top-five game. We recognise it as a major fixture and a dangerous one. It's going to be very Oxford-esque. It's going to be tough match. I don't think anyone can believe that Wrexhamaren't in the top five. Therein lies the problem everyone faces. Wrexham are a prime example that it is not easy to get out of this league even if you spend a lot of money trying to. That's why our supporters need to embrace this promotion campaign and drive us on because you have got to take every opportunity that comes your way."

Dean Saunders: "Our win over Luton was probably our best performance of the season. They were red hot favourites to win the league at the time but, on the night, we played really well and took our chances when they came along. It is difficult to adapt to playing at this level though because there's a lot of pressure and expectation surrounding ex-Football League sides. That's something Luton and ourselves have both had to try and come to terms with. I've been fortunate enough to have worked at the highest level in my career - and that's difficult - but believe me the Conference is a desperately difficult league to get out of."

TEAM NEWS:

Hatters: The Hatters are without injured Liam Hatch (hamstring), Adam Newton (hamstring), Kevin Nicholls (knee), Ryan Charles (knee) and Lewis Emanuel (toe). Manager Richard Money revealed that skipper Nicholls is likely to be out for between six and eight months as he covers surgery.

Wrexham: Dean Saunders will be without defender Frank Sinclair as he begins a four-match suspension after being sent-off against Altrincham on Tuesday. Meanwhile striker Gareth Taylor is still struggling with a persistent ankle injury and is unlikely to feature.

Last season: Conference 10th

2008/09 average attendance: 3,220

Pre-2009/10 BSP title odds: 14/1

Previous meetings:

Luton wins: 12

Draws: 6

Wrexham wins: 15

The Welshman hold a narrow advantage in the head-to-head record between the two clubs with 15 wins to 12 since the sides first met in 1963.

The Racecourse Ground has had never been a happy hunting ground for the Hatters with 11 of the 16 league meetings in North Wales ending in victory for the Dragons, which includes September's 3-0 defeat.

However, the Town's record at the Racecourse will always be remembered for the right reasons when, in 2005, they came from a goal down at the break to win 2-1.

The three points, coupled with Hull's defeat at Walsall, clinched the Hatters the League 1 title.

Wrexham will want to forget their last visit to Kenilworth Road: the Town triumphed 5-1 in November 2004, a game in which Sol Davis scored his first goal for the club.

Recent history:

The Dragons will be kicking off their second season in the Blue Square Premier following their relegation from the Football League at the end of 2007/08.

Last season the Welshman got off to a great start following an opening day 5-0 victory over Stevenage but the season ended in disappointment.

Manager Brian Little was axed with the club four points above the relegation zone, but, following the arrival of new boss Dean Saunders in October - the ship was steadied at Wrexham finished in 10th place.

The Dragons suffered a 10 point deduction for going into administration in 2004/05 and were subsequently to League 2 - the same season they won the LDV Vans Trophy at the Millennium Stadium with a win over Southend United.

They survived their fight against relegation from the Football League in 2006/07 with a last game of the season showdown with Boston United. Wrexham's 3-1 win consigned Boston to drop.

However, the Reds were not so lucky the following season when the club's 87-year stay in the Football League came to an end when they finished bottom of League 2 - seven points from safety.

FACT: In 2001/02 Wrexham changed their nickname from the Robins to the Dragons.
