Luton:
The Hatters have fresh injury worries ahead of the game with four players; Drew Talbot, George Pilkington, Tom Craddock and skipper Kevin Nicholls all likely to miss the trip to Adams Park.

Wycombe: Chris Zebroski is definitely out for the Chairboys but they may welcome back on-loan Reading striker Simon Church.

Manager Preview

Mick Harford (talking to lutontown.co.uk): "These players who are injured are key players to our survival and without them it makes it a bit more difficult.

"But, I've a lot of faith in the squad and the players. We're going down to Wycombe, it'll be a very difficult game but we're going there to try and win the game."

Peter Taylor (talking to wwfc.com): "Their teamsheet is much stronger than the position their in, the point deduction is down to what's happened in the past in the club and not the fault of the manager on the players. On their day they can be as good as anybody in the division. They will keep fighting until its impossible for them to get out of it, and the way they've been going there certainly giving themselves a chance."

One to watch - Angelo Balanta

Wycombe manager Peter Taylor pulled off a coup to sign to the highly-rated 18 year old on a two month loan deal last month from Queens Park Rangers.

The Colombian-born forward has earned rave reviews in the few games he has featured in since joining the Chairboys from Loftus Road.

He played a vital role in securing the Wanderers victory on his debut, setting up their winning goal in the 1-0 success over Bradford City.

Balanta then set two goals up Wycombe's 4-2 home victory over Port Vale and had a hand in their opening goal during a 2-0 win at Notts County three days later.

However, the youngster does not just set-up the chances as his two goals in his last two games shows.

He scored a superb solo strike in their 4-0 demolition of Macclesfield and, in Wycombe's last match, the 3-2 reverse at Aldershot, he lashed home a fierce shot from 18 yards.

The Hatters will need to be on their guard to prevent the impressive England youth international from causing more havoc at Adams Park on Saturday.

Referee - Steve Tanner

Steve Tanner will be the man in the middle at Adam Park on Saturday. The Premiership referee has already taken charge of a match involving the Hatters when he officiated in the Town's 1-0 victory at Gillingham in August.

So far this term the Somerset official has issued 37 yellow cards and three reds including that of David Wheater of Middlesbrough.at Hull City last Saturday.

Current form

Luton: WDLLL

Luton's victory over Barnet last week was their first in five games but the 3-1 win has cut the points deficit to minus seven. The Hatters have now picked up four points and scored six goals in their last two home games. A defeat at Southend in the FA Cup followed two consecutive league defeats to Brentford (0-1) and Rochdale (1-2).

Wycombe: LWLWW
Wycombe's 3-2 defeat at Aldershot Town last week was the Chairboys's first league defeat in 19 games this season. Perhaps the most surprising result of the Wanderers's season so far was their 2-0 FA Cup second round defeat at Northern Premier League Eastwood Town. But before their defeat to Aldershot they had recorded four straight victories in League Two with wins over Macclesfield (4-0), Notts County (2-0), Port Vale (4-2) and Bradford (1-0).

Previous meetings

Luton wins: 8
Draws: 6
Wycombe wins: 1

Luton have a good record against Wycombe in the few matches played between the two sides. The Hatters have tasted defeat just once in 15 matches against the Chairboys and are unbeaten in their eight visits to Adams Park, winning five and drawing three.

Wycombe's solitary victory over the Town was at Kenilworth Road in January 2001 when two second half goals from striker Andy Rammell cancelled out Adam Locke's first half strike to seal a 2-1 victory.

Last time out

Luton won their last encounter with the Wanderers 3-0 at Adams Park in the Second Round of the FA Cup in December 2004. Two goals from Steve Howard and one from Kevin Nicholls earned the visitors a place in the third round.

Luton: Beresford, Keane, Davis, Davies, Coyne, Brkovic (Showunmi), O'Leary, Nicholls, Underwood, Howard, Vine (Andrew).

Subs not used: Seremet, Holmes, Bayliss.

Wycombe: Talia Silk (Nethercott), Craig, Roger Johnson, Williams, Uhlenbeek, Ryan, Senda, Guppy (Bloomfield), Tyson, Stonebridge (Faulconbridge).

Subs not used: Steve Williams, Martin.

Attendance: 4,767

Last five seasons

After finishing bottom of League One during a disastrous 2003-04 season, Wycombe have spent the past four seasons in League Two, twice reaching the playoffs.

A 10th place finish on their return to the basement division in 2004-05 was followed by their first tilt at the end of season lottery in 2005-06 which ended with a 2-1 on aggregate defeat to Cheltenham Town in the semi-finals after finishing sixth in League Two table.

The following campaign saw Wycombe finish 12th in League Two but the club made the headlines when reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup.

The Chairboys beat Charlton and Fulham en route to a last four tie with Chelsea. After holding the then-Champions to a 1-1 draw at Adams Park they lost the second 5-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Last season Wycombe finished seventh in League Two but there was more playoff heart- break for the Wanderers faithful when eventual winners Stockport County 2-1 won on aggregate in the semi-finals.
