The Ladies gained maximum points on their travels to Lewes and Tottenham Hotspur in their pursuit of promotion and did their goal difference no harm along the way.
Lewes were neck-and-neck in the promotion race but that soon changed after 10 minutes when Rebecca Kane broke free and smashed her shot inside the near post to give the Town the lead.
After half-an-hour Fay Howell spotted the goalkeeper off her line and sent a dipping shot into the net to make it 2-0. The home side reduced the arrears just before the break following a defensive mix up.
Lewes were desperate to protect their unbeaten home record but were found wanting as the Hatters soaked up the pressure and finished off the Sussex side with a late rally.
Nicky Livingstone made it 3-1 with a measured chip and Fay Howell grabbed her second with a superb floated free-kick from out wide.
Laura Day completed the scoring as she charged down a clearance 40 yards out and sprinted clear to finish superbly to round off a fine 5-1 away win.
Tottenham Hotspur then fell victim to an incredibly high tempo Luton first half performance as the promotion hunt continued.
A fluid passing movement ended with the ball being set back to Jessica Nash who found the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the box in the first minute.
Nicky Livingstone added a second in the fourth minute with a shot that was too powerful for the keeper to hold.
Rebecca Kane then got on the end of another slick move but her shot was pushed against the post by the keeper who could do nothing as Kane followed up to score.
Skipper Carly Cowell rose at the far post to nod home a corner in the 11th minute as the Town threatened to run riot 4-0 up with nearly 80 minutes still left.
Spurs steadied the ship and kept things much tighter up until five minutes before half time when Nash smashed another shot across the face of the goal which was converted by Candice Davies's quick reaction at the far post for the fifth.
Laura Day was then allowed to carry the ball for 30 yards unchallenged before beating her player and ramming the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
Day then flicked on a quick clearance from Nikki Duncan in the Luton goal and Kane raced clear to give Town an incredible 7-0 interval lead.
The second period was never going to be like the first but there were still two further goals from Micky Taylor and a far post volley for Fay Howell to give Luton a club record 9-0 away win. The Hatters must now win their last three league matches to gain the ultimate prize.
The Reserves continued their recent good form with an away win at Bisley in Surrey.
It was a late show as Kirsty McIntosh grabbed the only goal of the game two minutes from time. The up and down season continued as defeats to Tring Athletic (3-1) and league leaders Panthers (2-0) followed, but the season has shown a great improvement on the last.
The very promising Under 15 squad have been involved in two cup ties with both resulting in comprehensive wins.
In the Beds County Cup we entertained county league side St Martins Under 16's in the semi final. An inspirational first half performance during which some outstanding football was played running in an incredible twelve goals without reply. There were a further three goals during the second half to complete a comfortable 15-0 win. Mirella Tambini led the way with six goals; Katie Davis scored four while Maisie Wyatt and Jessica Mackay both scored twice and Teighlor Pengelley scored with a wonderful long distance strike to round off the win.
The club is now sure of a trophy as the Under 15's now take on the cup holders the Under 16's for an all Luton Town Ladies County Cup final.
The defence of the League Cup is also on track as in spite of conceding an early goal to St Albans City. Town came roaring back to overcome their opponents with a powerful display running out 7-1 winners. Katie Davis fired a hat trick, Jessica McKay scored twice and there were goals for Teighlor Pengelley and Terri Petit.
