A much-changed First Team squad began their third campaign at combination level at home to Team Weston.
The newly-shaped team were off to a flyer when Janine Daly controlled Michelle Byrne's cross to round the keeper and give Town a fourth-minute lead.
The visitors continued to play an ineffective offside trap and it was only some lax finishing that prevented a first-half rout.
Weston rarely threatened and Luton increased their lead when Tamzine Neale beat her opponent and her shot was too hot for the keeper to handle as she could only parry the ball into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.
The points were made safe in unusual fashion as a lofted ball into the danger area was turned past her own keeper by the visitors' centre-half for the third goal.
Town's fitness really told later on and it was no surprise when a fourth goal arrived via Rebecca Kane, who latched onto a superb through pass from Becky Clark to finish first touch.
It was an excellent start to the season but there are tough times to come as we struggle to overcome an injury crisis. A shortage of players hit the Reserves hard following their third consecutive promotion but a new-look side performed really well and were unlucky
not to have taken a first half lead when Laura Day's shot was palmed round the post.
A double salvo from the visitors Tower Hamlets mid way through the second half left Town 2-0 down and it may have been worse had keeper Emma Leete not saved a late penalty.

The youth sides are nearing the start of their season and the Under-14s and 15s made the short trip to take on Reading's Academy sides.
The Under-14s opponents had never been beaten but that did not daunt Luton as they stormed into a three-goal lead in just 15 minutes and by the end of the match they had doubled their tally, winning by 6-0.

The Under-15s were equally successful, winning 4-2.

The Under-11s friendly action came against Bedford, who were also unbeaten. Quick passing football and some excellent combination play twice gave Luton a three-goal cushion as Chloe Scott scored a first-half hat-trick.
Bedford pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time but Scottie added her fourth, finishing another fine Town move. Bedford showed outstanding spirit in the second half to take advantage of a defensive error and a penalty to share the spoils in a very entertaining 4-4 draw.
