STRIKE GOLD
If you're still looking for a winner at the Cheltenham Festival, don't despair as help is at hand in the form of Hatters Bet's big race tip - State Of Play - and we'll even throw in some free bets for good measure.
The betting for Friday's Gold Cup is dominated by one horse - Kauto Star, Hatters Bet's11/8 favourite for the race, but whether he can win is open to question. Will he stay and will he jump well enough? If he does both, he's home and hosed (and that price will look generous indeed around 3.20pm on Friday!), but we'd prefer to look elsewhere for some each way value, and our selection looks to have the right credentials at the current odds of 8/1.
State of Play has not run since winning impressively at Newbury back in November, but that's no cause for concern as he always runs well fresh after a break and his trainer, Evan Williams, has been preparing him for this race since then. A reproduction of that form would see him go close and (unlike the favourite) he has no problems in the jumping department. He should also be galloping on strongly when some of the others have had enough, so everything is right for him to run into a place at least - ¼ odds, 1.2.3 with Hatters Bet
Now for the free bet bit. We've been giving away free bets all week to Hatters Bet customers backing a winner at 4/1 or more in any of the live televised Channel 4 races - Voy Por Ustedes was popular at 5/1 - and we've got plenty more to give away! Place a bet on State Of Play and, if he wins (at 4/1 or more), we'll give you a free bet to the same stake on the Christies Foxhunter Chase - the next live Channel 4 race, off around 4.00pm. If that's a winner too, have another free bet, and so on.
And don't worry about not being able to watch the race on TV as you can watch this race, and the remaining Cheltenham races, via your PC. Simply bet £5 or more before clicking on the live stream text next to the race you want to watch.
Enjoy the racing and free bets at Hatters Bet all week, and don't forget to pay us a visit at the weekend too for the latest match odds and much more!
