Irish runners have dominated the Champion Hurdle in recent years, and they are back for more this year. Brave Inca (last year's winner), Hardy Eustace (won the previous two), are likely to be thereabouts again but, if there is to be a shake-up this year, our selection could be the one to do it.

Of course, he has ground to make up on the big race favourite Detroit City - a length and three-quarters to be exact. That was the distance that separated the two when they finished first and second at Sandown last month.
