ODDS ON

Posted on: Tue 24 Aug 2010

This column might have taken a day off last Friday but I'm sure followers of our betting recommendations didn't mind as they celebrated a Matthew Barnes-Homer bonus at Kettering.

As we predicted, MBH weighed in with the first goal, duly obliging at odds of 5/1. Nice work if you can get it and it kicked-off our first winning tip of the campaign.

Even more impressive (we do like to brag - kind of) was our little mention that a hat-trick market was available with Coral with Barnsey 20/1 to land up netting a treble. Would you believe that? Hopefully that punt took your fancy and you were rewarded. No need to thank us, just drop the cheque in the post addressed to Andrew Barringer at the club.

Anyway, back to the tips and tonight the Town face Newport in their first midweek game under lights at Kenilworth Road this campaign.

Will the Town notch up win number four on the spin? Who knows, but what we do know is that every we'll attempt to try and beat the bookies by recommending you some bets involving the Hatters this evening with our new betting partner Coral.

The Town are short priced 8/13 favourites to earn their fourth straight victory of the season while a Newport win is 11/2. The draw is a 13/5 chance. Backing the Town at odds on. We've warned you before...it's a dangerous game. It's you're call but it's too short for us.

Now, given his rich vein of form do we go with MBH to net again? He's 100/30 to score first and as short as 11/10 to score at anytime.

At those odds, we'll look elsewhere, thank you very much.

The thing is, given Richard Money's current squad selection we never know who will exactly start. I guess that's the problem of having such a talented squad. Shame.

We'll opt for two midfielders in our first goalscorer punts. Jake Howells and Andy Drury have impressed this season already.

Jake hit the bar at Fleetwood while Drury has popped up all over the pitch and already laid on two goals for his team-mates.

Howells is 11/1 to score first and 7/2 at anytime while Drury, well we don't know. Bizzarly Coral have yet to even mention him in the market! We'll ask for it to appear, so don't worry.

Correct scoreline wise, the Town have hit three goals in their past two matches and the way their playing at the minute who would bet against another three goal haul? 3-0 is 8/1.

There a whopping 34 markets in total available now on the Coral website for tonight's game

Remember betting through Hattersbet and Coral earns much-needed revenue for the club so what are you waiting for?

Recommendations: Luton 3-0 (8/1), Jake Howells and Andy Drury first goalsccorer and to score anytime.
