EVEN MONEY FOR THREE POINTS

Posted on: Fri 05 Mar 2010

Four games without a win.

Whatever next.

Sequences like these are there to be broken. Just like the Hatters' run of away results that was ended at Crawley Town last Saturday.

But the Town bounced back on Tuesday with a solid if unspectacular goalless draw at promotion Play-Off rivals Mansfield Town.

Buoyed by that point, and another clean sheet on the road, we're off the Church Road to face Hayes and Yeading United for the first time.

Garry Haylock's side have ignored pre-season predictions of a campaign of struggle by more than holding their own in the BSP: a fact backed up by impressive displays against AFC Wimbledon, York and Stevenage on their own turf.

As Richard Money reiterates every week: all matches and tough. Especially when you're Luton Town.

And tomorrow will be no different.

As ever our official bookmaker bet365 will have loads of markets available to punters wanting to have a bet.

The Town are evens to pick up all three points which is very, very tempting. It looks as though the Hatters have overcome their mini-blip of two straight defeats with that draw at Mansfield. United are a 5/2 chance while the draw can be backed at 9/4

If you fancy a bet on the match then you are spoilt for choice: there are 26 different markets to choose from.

As always there is a plethora of punts available to fans who fancy a flutter on the Hatters' tonight.

With no previous meeting to go on, we really are gazing into our crystal ball for this one. Will the Town strikers heed the advice of their manager by sticking a few in the onion bag? As we've mentioned, keeping goals out has been no problem.

Therefore, as far as the correct score market goes we'll plump for 3-0. We're half thinking it'll be 2-0 but the 15/2 quote doesn't inspire us so gamble on a 3-0 victory for the Hatters at 16s.

From a goalscorers point of view, what about Asa Hall? He's been banging on the door in recent games, and scored the winner at Eastbourne on 13th February don't forget. Admittedly a price of 17/2 for the midfielder to open the scoring isn't as big as we'd hope but it's decent nonetheless and in anycase you can always stick a few notes on him at 13/5 to score at anytime.

Scorecast bets have proved to be popular this season and we're determined to find a winner of one of these by the end of the season to ensure a bumper payout. So for the match at Hayes we'll combine our prediction: Asa Hall to score first and the Town to win 3-0. That combination is a 100/1 shot. Go on, whack a quid on.

Remember betting through Hattersbet and bet365 earns much-needed revenue for the club so what are you waiting for?

Recommendations: Luton (evens), 3-0 Luton (16/1), Asa Hall first goalscorer (17/2), Hall FGS/Luton 3-0 scorecast (100/1).
