CRADDOCK TO CATCH DONS COLD?

Posted on: Fri 19 Feb 2010

Six wins from their last eight matches has propelled the Hatters right into the promotion mix.

Up to fourth after Tuesday's draw at York, the Town are now hunting down the top three.

And with Oxford, Stevenage and York all in action in the FA Trophy this weekend, Richard Money's men have the opportunity to close the gap at the top.

Not that will be easy against an AFC Wimbledon side enjoying a fine first season in non-league's top flight following their rise through the pyramid.

Terry Brown's Wombles currently lie in eighth position in the table and will be looking to gatecrash the play-off picture themselves between now and the end of the season.

As ever our official bookmaker bet365 has seen plenty of money on the Hatters to bring in the points.

At the time of launching this article the Town were a 3/4 chance to beat the Dons who are 16/5 to take all three points back to Kingsmeadow.

If you think it will end a draw like it did way back on the opening day of the season then it's 5/2 it finishes all square.

If you fancy a bet on the big match then you are spoilt for choice: there are 23 different markets and hundreds of individual odds to choose from.

Click here for all the match odds - you'll find the markets under the 'Soccer' section in the left-hand sports menu.

As always there is a plethora of punts available to fans who fancy a flutter on the Hatters' tonight.

Last time at home the Town came back from the dead to earn a 2-1 victory over Oxford.

So how about the correct score? How about another 2-1 to the Town? bet365 go 7/1 for a repeat scoreline.

Ok, so how about on the goal front. How Tom Craddock. The former Middlesbrough striker has been in top form for the Hatters recently but not hit the target. He came close to opening the scoring twice against Oxford including one shot that hit the post. It's 5/1 for him to score the first or last goal against the Dons and that's not bad in our book. A two quid punt wins you a tenner.

Or, how about chancing your arm with a scorecast? What about Asa Hall to score first and the Hatters to win 2-0? Asa's got that knack of arriving in the box at the right time from midfield and was on target at Eastbourne last Saturday. bet365 believe that's a 40/1 shot. Just 50p on that get's you back £20...
