AROUND THE GROUND
Local things of interest: St. Andrew's is situated in an inner city area of Birmingham. However as befits Britain's second city there are a multitude of things to do and see around the city. Click here for more details.
Pubs: Pubs around the ground are generally for Birmingham fans only. The closest pub suitable for friendly away fans is The Anchor in Digbeth which is approximately 15 minutes walk to the ground and serves a wide range of real ales. Another personal favourite is the Wellington, which consistently wins Birmingham's Camra Pub of the year. The Wellington is on Bennetts Hill in the city centre and is approximately five minutes walk from Snow Hill Station. Click here to go the pub's own website. Alcohol is also served inside the ground.
Local Eateries: Immediately by the ground, there are two cafes based at the retail park immediately opposite the Kop side of the ground. These cafes are in the 'Big W' store and Morrisons Superstore. There are also a range of fast food outlets and curry houses along the Coventry Road in Small Heath. Other options include China Town, which is a five minute drive away by the Hippodrome Theatre and has dozens of excellent restaurants and The Arcadian which has restaurants featuring food from countries all over the world. For the true Balti experience you need to head to the Balti Triangle which is just off the A34 Stratford Road in Sparkhill (Approx ten minutes away by car).
