The Hatters' thriving Girls' Centre of Excellence department have released their fixtures for the 2009/10 season which includes high-profile matches against Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

It all starts for the girls on 22nd August with a trip to local rivals Watford before their first home match against Northampton Town a week later.

The season draws to a close with a National Centre of Excellence festival on 15th and 16th May.

Stuart Smith, Girls' Centre of Excellence Director, was delighted to secure matches against three of the country's most illustrious teams.

He said: "It shows the progress we've made in the first year of being a centre of excellence club that clubs of Manchester United and Liverpool's stature have invited us to play them at their venues.

"It will prove to be an exciting season for the girls as we hope to continue our development and growth even further."
