Good evening and welcome back to Kenilworth Road as we continue our busy schedule of fixtures in the Blue Square Bet Premier against Newport County.
And what a tough test we face against a team that swept all before them in the Blue Square Bet South last season.
Winning the division by such a margin, winning over 100 points and scoring 100 goals in the process is no mean feat which means we will have to be at our best to continue our fine start to the season tonight.
That is down to three excellent and professional performances that has seen us win our first three matches all of which showed, in different ways, the qualities that we possess.
Against Altrincham we took the lead but found ourselves two minutes away from drawing a game we dominated.
It would have been a travesty had we not earned three points that day and it took a wonderful goal from Matthew Barnes-Homer to win it for us.
As a defender it was disappointing to concede a goal from a set-piece and even more galling that it was Altrincham's only effort on goal during the 90 minutes.
Therefore it was even more frustrating to concede again from a set piece at Kettering on Tuesday but again we had Matthew to thank for a brilliant hat-trick to ensure we picked up three points.
Our performances away from home were excellent last season but the fact we drew at Kettering last year perhaps goes to show how far we've come since then.
Three points and three goals at Kettering was followed by another pleasing away day display at Fleetwood.
Like our visitors tonight, Fleetwood were promoted last season. Games against teams with momentum from a successful season beforehand are always difficult to compete with and we went into the game knowing they had already seen off Mansfield convincinglyon the Tuesday.
So for us to dominate, win and score three goals for the second time in a week away from home was fantastic for the whole squad.
We are playing with a lot of confidence at the minute and that has shone through in each of our last three games, especially at Fleetwood.
I thought we were composed, kept the ball well and went about our business in a thoroughly professional way.
After failing to keep clean sheets in our previous two games it was pleasing too for us to finally earn one and we had Mark Tyler to thank for a great save in the first half when the score was 2-0 to keep it that way.
Confidence is high and the whole squad is eager to get on the pitch and be a part of it. The group the manager has assembled and the new signings that have arrived in the summer is very impressive.
We know your expectations will rise now we have started the season the way we have and we as a players accept that - it comes with the territory. But that's football, it's a funny old game, just like against Altrincham when they equalised against the run of play.
We hope to reward your fantastic support with another victory tonight and on behalf of all the players can I say a big thank you to all those who made the trips to Kettering and Fleetwood.
Enjoy tonight's game and get behind the lads.
