This afternoon we go into our match with Wrexham full of confidence after we earned our second successive victory following Tuesday's result against Forest Green Rovers.

With the other scores going in our favour it was pleasing to open the papers on Wednesday morning with us sitting third in the table.

We knew our margin of victory at Hayes & Yeading should have been more comprehensive but in hindsight, with their subsequent win over Oxford on Tuesday, it doesn't look a bad result all things considered.

We felt very comfortable in stages during that particular game but it became a little nerve-wracking towards the end after they had brought the score back to 3-2.

Tuesday night was another difficult game. We knew we would be in for a tough test. They had beaten York on the Saturday which further goes to show that all the teams in this division are capable of taking points off each other.

It was a very scrappy game played on a pitch that made life hard for both teams to try and play football.

However, I thought we were the better side and I thought Tom Craddock in particular did well to hold his nerve in the final minute to stick away what was a difficult chance.

With results going our way, the importance of the three points was even more significant.

Our aim is still to hunt down the two teams above us and hope they slip up. For that to happen we need to be able to take advantage so it is vital we keep winning.

With the Chester situation all finally sorted, there are no more ifs and buts to be decided so every team now knows what is required from them.

There are 11 games to go and we need to approach every game in a professional manner; just like we have been doing.

We have to make sure we are mentality and physically ready for the challenges that await between now and the end of the campaign.

And the more we keep winning the more likely our pressure on those teams around us will start to show.

Wrexham are today's visitors which will prove to be another tough test. As a former Football League side themselves they are all too aware of the expectation faced when playing at this level.

We put in arguably our worst performance of the season at the Racecourse back in the September so we have a point to prove this afternoon and right the wrongs of that Tuesday evening.

If we do the basics right this afternoon and approach the game with a positive mentality when we should fear no-one.

Enjoy the game.

Pilks.
