THE CAPTAIN
It was great to get a victory at home a fortnight ago. Matthew Spring took both his goals well and we felt we deserved the three points. It was a great team effort and we need tocontinue to play like that for 90 minutes for the rest of the season.
I made my 100th appearance for Luton Town during our game against Crewe Alexandra and it was a huge honour. Being able to run out as captain of our team and in front of a noisy crowd was amazing and is something I will never forget. I would like to thank everyone for your support over the years.
I started at Luton as a member of the youth team and have been given so many opportunities, which have helped me progress and become the person I am today. I never would have thought I would have made 100 appearances and I hope to make many more.
It has been a difficult few away games for us recently and although we feel we have done well we are all still disappointed not to have come away from them with more points. However, we have to take the positives away from these games, Sam Parkin has scored two goals and we have had many chances and a lot of possession.
This afternoon is going to be another difficult test. Brighton are currently in the play-off positions and will be hoping to keep with the group. However,we know that if we replicate our last home performance and keep creating chances we should be able to come away with three points.
Looking at the table we know it is possible that we could be relegated by the end of this afternoon, however it is vital that we concentrate on this afternoon's fixture. Whatever division we are in next season, I can assure you that we will all be fighting for promotion, whether that be back into League One or into the Championship, we are all in this together.
It was a shame to miss Ryan Charles in Northampton's game but he picked up a knee injury at Gillingham and wasn't fully fit. However, Calvin Andrew stepped in and did a fantastic job.
Richard Langley played another 60 minutes in the reserve match against Peterborough and hopefully he will return to the squad before the end of the season.
Please continue to get behind us.
Enjoy the game.
Keith
