Although we all wanted to come away from the recent games with maximum points, I think it's fair to say that our performances have greatly improved.

To gain a point on the road as well as four at home is an impressive achievement and I think everyone is encouraged and can see that we have not given up the fight.

We come into this afternoon's game with an unbeaten run of three consecutive games and we will be looking to continue in the same manner and hopefully pick up another three points today.

However we know it will be a difficult game as Crewe, who are currently 20th but have recently been on a good run of form, have lost only one in their last ten league games.

They come into today's match needing the points to push away from the relegation zone so we will need to work hard to break them down.

Anyone who came to see us play over the Easter weekend will know how hard we have fought but there is always room for improvement, so we must keep battling for the full ninety minutes.

If we keep working at it I'm sure we will soon see more wins and slowly start to move up the table.

Until relegation is confirmed, you can rest assured that we will be doing everything we can to keep up the fight.

Many of you will have seen Drew Talbot stretchered off last Saturday with a knee injury and unfortunately after having some scans done it has been decided that he will need to undergo an operation. This means that it is likely he will be missing from the squad for at least a month.

We desperately needed to come through the last few fixtures without obtaining any more injuries but unfortunately we haven't managed to do that.

Both Darren Currie and Paul Furlong picked up knocks, so neither of them were able to play at Millwall.

However, both Don Hutchison and Stephen O'Leary, who were added to the squad, stepped up to the plate and pulled out impressive performances.

Please continue to get behind us.

Enjoy the game.
