Have you ever dreamed of stepping out at Wembley and gracing the hallow turf?

Luton Town's Football in the Community Department is offering the children of Luton the chance to realise that dream.

Luton Town will once again be entering teams into The Football League Community Cup for boys and girls, a nationwide tournament for youngsters.

There are two separate Football League sponsored tournaments. Firstly the Football League Community Cup for Year 6 children and also the Football League Community Cup for girls in Year 8.

Last year over 20,000 children participated in these two tournaments and it is hoped that these numbers will be exceeded this year.

This years cup formats are as follows:
In the Year 6 Community Cup, there will be three Divisional Tournaments, each divisional tournament will have 24 local heats, hosted by all the professional Clubs in that division. This will produce 24 'local winners'

These local winners will then play in two Regional Finals each featuring 12 teams.
The winner of the North and South Finals in each divisional tournament will then play the National Final in May at Wembley Stadium prior to their relevant Divisional Play Off Final.

For the Girls Community Cup there will be 72 local competitions hosted by the Professional Clubs Community department, this will result in 72 local winners. These winners then progress to eight area finals each featuring an area winner. These eight schools then progress to a North and South Regional Final each featuring four teams.

The winner of the North and South Finals will progress to a National Final which will be staged at Wembley Stadium prior to the Jonhstone's Paint Trophy Final on the 30th March 2008.

The schools that win the Luton Town FC Local Tournaments will be given the chance to play all subsequent rounds they are involved in wearing Luton Towns colours.

This is a great opportunity to participate in a superbly organised tournament played on state of the art facilities.

All schools in the County will be receiving a letter inviting them to participate within the next two weeks.

Any school interested in participating should contact Stuart Smith in the Community Department on 01582 391927.
