Hatters youngsters head to Kent this weekend

The Town Under-18s aim to make it 19 games unbeaten when they travel to Gillingham on Saturday morning.

Paul Driver’s side have won 12 of their 13 games in the Youth Alliance this season with the only blemish a 1-1 draw against the Gills at Ely Way back in August.

“That gives the boys an incentive,” said Driver. “They are the only side we haven’t beaten this season.”

Gillingham lie sixth in the table, 17 points behind the Hatters who lead the way at the top of the South East section.

The Town will take confidence into Saturday’s game against the Gills having booked their place in the third round of the FA Youth Cup following a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient on Monday night.

The Hatters youngsters now travel to Notts County vying for a place in the fourth round. The tie has been arranged for Tuesday 15th December and will kick-off at 7pm. Entry at Meadow Lane on the night is £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
