Under-18s see off Daggers
The Hatters Under-18s twice came from behind to make it three straight wins in the Youth Alliance with a 4-2 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge. The Town trailed but levelled when Isaac Galliford scored from the penalty spot.
The Daggers then retook the lead with a spot-kick of their own before Akene Amadi made it 2-2 before half-time with a cool finish.
Five minutes after half-time Amadi nodded home a cross to put the Hatters ahead for the first time.
Dagenham were then awarded the game's third penalty but Town stopper Liam Gooch made a fine save - his fifth penalty stop in seven - to keep the score 3-2.
With 18 minutes left on the clock the Hatters made sure of the points when Amadi played in Galliford who struck a superb volley into the top corner.
The Town youngsters are now unbeaten in their last six matches.
Boss Paul Driver told lutontown.co.uk: "We were far from our best, but you'll always take coming from behind twice to win.
"We can be better, but in the grand scheme of things we've got three points despite a sub-standard performance. We've got plenty to work."
