Local homeless charity LAMP to benefit from fan vote

We are excited to announce the Luton based homeless charity LAMP will be the Supporters Charity of the Year for the remainder of the 15-16 season.

We received a massive 483 votes in total, with winners LAMP pulling in over half of the votes. They now join CHUMS and Happy Days Children's Charity as one of three official charities for this season.

LAMP Chief Executive, John Archer said “myself and all the team at LAMP are thrilled that we have been selected as the Luton Town Supporters Charity for 2015-16. Having the loyal supporters of Luton Town getting behind our efforts to help homeless youngsters in Luton and the local area will be a fantastic boost and we look forward to a very exciting year together. Many thanks for all who voted for LAMP”

When casting their votes, supporters were asked if they wished to get involved and nearly 40 supporters have pledged to get involved and help get things going.

Luton Town Chief Operations Manager Kevan Platt said "It fantastic to be able to offer longer term support to organisations such as LAMP. It's also very encouraging to have received so many votes, and to see so many loyal supporters offering to get involved. We'd encourage any other supporters who would like to lend their support to get in touch".

Officials from the Club will be meeting with LAMP in the coming days to discuss the relationship moving forward - stay tuned for more information!
