Last month's show was a cracker - here's what you missed:
At Specs it’s not unusual for Luton to take a bit of a roasting from comedians and February was no exception. We picked up right where we left off in January with another barnstorming show. The compere Howard Read kicked off the show with positive energy and it proved a big hit with the audience setting up for another cracking night of laughs.
Next up was Andrew Maxwell who had the audience in stitches with his observational style as he highlighted the difficulties of adjusting to middle-class north London as an Irishman. After the interval came Yorkshire’s Scott Bennett with his slick fashion sense. Bennett was met with ecstatic cheers from the crowd when he removed Luton from the firing line and spoke about his hometown in Yorkshire.
The headline act Bob Mills was then welcomed to the stage, his 2nd appearance at Specs. Bob is probably best know for his TV work on channel 4. Bob had the crowd rocking during his set which left them on the edge of their seats at the end. Finally compere Howard Read wrapped up another stellar night at Specs.
