Striker joins Woking on an initial one-month deal

Town striker Scott Rendell has joined fellow Skrill Premier side Woking on an initial one month’s loan.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Hatters last summer from Wycombe Wanderers, joins the Cards ahead of their home fixture with Tamworth on Saturday.

Rendell scored 12 goals in 46 appearances for the Town last season, including the winning goal in the history-making 1-0 win over Norwich City in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Carrow Road.

Boss John Still told lutontown.co.uk: “It’s a good move for Scott. He has been a model professional since I have come to the club – his attitude has been first class.

“I’m pleased we have been able to find him a suitable club to get him playing football.”

Rendell will not be available to play for Woking against the Town on 24th September.

Last week the Town let young professionals Jerome Jibodu and Jake Woolley join Skrill South Boreham Wood and the pair made their debuts in a 3-0 defeat at Weston-super-Mare.
