PROSTATE CANCER UK BIKE RIDE: REPRESENT THE HATTERS

21 October 2015

Calling all ambitions Town-supporting cyclists!

You can represent the Hatters in Europe next year by taking part in Prostate Cancer UK’s annual charity bike ride to Amsterdam.

Dust off those bikes, squeeze into some lycra and get your helmet on to represent the Town and Prostate Cancer UK’s Men United in Europe on 3-5 June, 2016 for a 145-mile cycle ride in conjunction with the Football League.

For the first time, the event will have two start locations with Barnsley’s Oakwell aimed at those representing northern clubs and the iconic Olympic Park in East London will once again be utilised.

Last year over £350,000 was raised for Prostate Cancer  – a disease that will affect one in eight men in their lifetime – and the aim for 2016 is to double the number of riders to 500.

Please e-mail info@lutontown.co.uk to sign-up or to find out more information.

The 250-strong peloton in 2015 included former international trio Terry Butcher, Matt Holland and Luther Blissett, together with Preston North End boss Simon Grayson.

Last year we supported Prostate Cancer UK, raising £10,000 through various initiatives, including the renaming of Kenilworth Road as the Prostate Cancer UK Stadium for our game against Wycombe Wanderers.

Registration fee for the bike ride is £149. Each rider will pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship to help fight back against a disease that affects one in eight men in the UK.
